ARA--------------------------On Wednesday, a delegation from AISA met with Neetu, the Examination Controller at SB College, and lodged a serious complaint regarding the mismanagement and lack of facilities at the examination centers. The delegation included AISA District President Vikas Kumar, SB College Secretary Sahil Arora, President Rajan Kumar, former Student Union President Sudhir Kumar, and AISA District Joint Secretary Akhilesh Gupta. According to reports, Veer Kunwar Singh University is conducting the Post-Graduate Semester-2 examinations (Session 2025–27) across a total of seven centers, comprising four centers in Aara, one in Buxar, one in Bhabhua, and one in Sasaram. Given the prevailing weather conditions, the temperature in Aara has soared to 42 degrees Celsius. The city is already reeling under the combined impact of scorching heat and a persistent power crisis. The rising heat is taking a toll on people's health, leading to instances of fainting and heat-related distress in several areas. In such a critical situation, the absence of electricity and drinking water facilities at the examination centers has become a major source of trouble for the students. Today, electricity and drinking water systems remained completely non-functional at several examination centers. At SB College, specifically, the health of several students deteriorated due to the conditions. An AISA team arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Upon inspecting the centers, the team observed that examinees were facing extreme difficulties due to the lack of electricity. Following the complaint, the college administration arranged for generators to be switched on, providing much-needed relief to the students.
Commenting on the matter, AISA District President Vikas Kumar stated that the absence of basic amenities at examination centers raises serious questions regarding the state of the education system. He demanded that the university administration immediately ensure the provision of electricity and drinking water at all examination centers and conduct inspections to verify compliance. He further warned that if the situation does not improve, AISA would be compelled to launch an agitation. Launching an attack on the state government as well, Vikas Kumar stated, “The BJP-JD(U) government—which makes a mockery of development—has completely ruined Bihar’s education system. Universities and colleges lack even basic facilities such as libraries and laboratories, and are failing to recruit teachers and staff in accordance with established standards. AISA has consistently fought against the commercialization, saffronization, and ruination of education, and will continue to struggle for students' rights in the future.” Student organizations warn that if the current situation persists, the difficulties faced by examinees could intensify further in the days to come.
