A NEW CHAPTER IN FREEDOM FROM COLONIAL SHACKLES

DELHI----------------------------The date of February 13, 2026, marks a watershed moment in India's administrative history. Leaving the walls of South Block, a reminder of decades of British rule, the country's top leadership has now moved into a complex whose very name is dedicated to "service." "Seva Tirtha"—not just a brick-and-mortar building, but a symbol of independent India's resolve, where governance does not mean authority, but service to the citizens. This inauguration, held on the anniversary of New Delhi's founding, is a bold step toward abandoning the colonial mindset and moving toward a "self-reliant India."

Since 2014, the Central Government has worked tirelessly to eradicate the symbols of slavery from the nation's psyche. In this vein, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the Cabinet Secretariat, and the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) have now been relocated to an integrated complex, "Seva Tirtha." Along with this change, the government has changed several old names to reflect public sentiment:

South Block will now be known as Seva Teerth.

The Central Secretariat has been renamed Kartavya Bhavan.

Rajpath has been renamed Kartavya Path.

Race Course Road has already been renamed Lok Kalyan Marg.

State Raj Bhavans are now being rebranded as Lok Bhavan.

Upon assuming charge at 'Seva Teerth', Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed his first files, which directly impact the lives of the country's poor, farmers, women, and youth. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh tweeted on the occasion, saying, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first decisions from Seva Teerth reflect the true spirit of 'seva', touching farmers, women, youth, and vulnerable citizens across India." The main initiatives approved by the Prime Minister are as follows:

PM RAHAT Yojana: Up to ₹1.5 lakh for road accident victims. No one should lose their life due to lack of timely treatment.

Lakhpati Didi Target: After surpassing the 3 crore mark ahead of schedule, a new target has been set to make 10 crore women 'Lakhpati Didi' by March 2029.

The motto of 'Nagarik Devo Bhava' is in place at the entrance of 'Seva Teerth'. Agriculture Infrastructure Fund: This fund has been increased from ₹1 lakh crore to ₹2 lakh crore to strengthen agriculture. Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0: To promote deep tech and early-stage innovations, this fund has been announced with a corpus of ₹10,000 crore.

Built to 4-star GRIHA standards, the campus is environmentally friendly, with special emphasis on water conservation and solar energy. Agriculture Infrastructure Fund: To strengthen agriculture and farmers. From here, not only will the government run, but a developed India will also be built.

Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0: Deep Tech and Inception This fund was announced with a corpus of ₹10,000 crore.
