A DOZEN INJURED WHEN A TRUCK OVERTURNED AFTER TIRE BURST

BHABHUA--------------------------A passenger pickup truck overturned on the hilly terrain near Pachmahula village in the Adhaura hills after one of its tires burst. More than a dozen people were seriously injured in the accident. Three women have been referred to Bhabhua Sadar Hospital for advanced treatment, while the remaining injured are being treated at the Adhaura Primary Health Centre (PHC).

The injured include Lakshmina Devi (35, wife of Ramji Oraon from Pachmahul village, Lohara police station area), Shanti Devi (35, wife of Patlu Yadav from Londa village), and Salya Devi (40, wife of Upendra Oraon from Soli village, Nata police station area, Rohtas district). These three are currently undergoing treatment at Bhabhua Sadar Hospital.

Relatives of the injured who arrived at Sadar Hospital explained that a passenger pickup service operates between Londa village and Adhaura; the group was traveling to Adhaura for various personal tasks. En route, near Pachmahul village, a tire on the pickup suddenly burst, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn.

According to reports, 20 to 25 people were on board the pickup, and 15 individuals—including women—sustained injuries. Following the incident, locals helped transport everyone to the Adhaura PHC for treatment; three women were subsequently referred to Sadar Hospital. Meanwhile, police from the Adhaura station arrived at the scene upon receiving the information and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
