The havoc caused by the flooding of the Ganges continues in Bihar. In Bhojpur's Piparpati village, houses are being washed away due to riverbank erosion. Kaushalya Devi, a resident of the village, had gone to her maternal home for a day; upon her return, she found that her house had been completely swept away by the erosion caused by the floodwaters.

Bhojpur: Rapid erosion by the Ganges continues in Piparpati village, Bhojpur, causing villagers' homes and lands to be swallowed by the river. This erosion is deeply impacting people's lives and has left many homeless. Floodwaters are rising everywhere, making it difficult for people to continue living there. Amidst this, the story of Kaushalya Devi has emerged; she returned from her maternal home to find her house washed away by the river's erosion.

The river is eroding the banks at such a pace that many people are losing their homes and ancestral lands to the water. However, when she returned to the village, she found no trace of where her house had once stood; her home, land, and all her belongings had been swept away by the swift currents of the Ganges. The home where Kaushalya Devi had cherished countless memories with her family, and the land she had envisioned spending her life on, were all lost within a matter of hours. While she was away at her parental home, the Ganges swallowed her house; upon her return, she found nothing but the river's current and a devastated landscape where her home once stood. She is deeply distressed by this and is pleading with the administration for help.
