JEWELER SHOT AT, INJURED

ARA-----------------------Late Monday evening, armed miscreants shot a jeweler who was returning home on his motorcycle after closing his shop; the incident occurred between Dev Bazar and Kurmuri village under the Sikrahata police station area. The jeweler sustained a gunshot wound to the right side of his neck, leaving him critically injured. He was subsequently transported to the Tarari Community Health Center (CHC) for treatment via a 'Dial 112' police vehicle.

Upon receiving the news, his family members arrived at the hospital. After receiving first aid, he was referred to Sadar Hospital for further treatment. Speculation suggests the shooting was an attempt to commit robbery. Upon being informed, Sikrahata Station House Officer (SHO) Sanoj Kumar arrived at the scene and has initiated an investigation.

According to reports, the injured jeweler is 33-year-old Bhola Sah, son of the late Shiv Dayal Sah and a resident of Kurmuri village within the Sikrahata police station limits. He runs a jewelry shop at Dev Bazar. As per the details, he was returning home on his motorcycle late Monday evening after closing his shop, just as he did every day.

It was during this journey, between Dev Bazar and Kurmuri village, that armed miscreants shot him. SHO Sanoj Kumar confirmed the incident, stating that the victim is a jeweler who was shot while returning home after closing his shop. Prima facie, it appears the shooting was an attempt to commit robbery, though an investigation is underway.
