ARA-------------------------Bhai Dinesh, the former MLA of Jagdishpur, has written to the Bhojpur District Magistrate (DM), the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), and the Executive Officer of the Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat, demanding an immediate solution to the severe waterlogging problem in the Vishen Tola area (Wards 11 and 12) of Jagdishpur—the town associated with the legendary Babu Veer Kunwar Singh.
In the letter, he stated that water has been stagnating on the road in front of approximately 40–50 houses in a lane of Vishen Tola for the past six months. Local residents are facing immense hardship due to the waterlogging and filth, and are forced to live in hellish conditions.
Children use this route to go to school. Men and women also use this path for essential activities, including visits to temples and mosques. There is a persistent risk of infection spreading due to the long-standing stagnant, dirty water. Despite this, the Nagar Panchayat, the sub-divisional administration, and... The district administration has not yet taken effective steps to find a permanent solution to the problem.
Bhai Dinesh said, "How long will the administration remain a mute spectator? People cannot be forced to live amidst waterlogging and filth. It is the responsibility of the government and the administration to ensure proper arrangements for water drainage." They have urged the district administration, sub-divisional administration, and the Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat to treat the matter seriously, conduct an immediate site inspection, and ensure a permanent drainage solution so that local residents can be relieved from the problems of waterlogging and the risk of infection.
