TWO YOUTHS SHOT NEAR NITISH’S RESIDENCE

PATNA---------------------In Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, miscreants shot two youths who were returning from the Ganga Aarti, just 50 meters away from former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's residence and the local police station. Both injured youths were first taken to the Bakhtiyarpur Community Health Centre (CHC) and subsequently referred to Patna for advanced medical treatment.

In Bakhtiyarpur, adjacent to the Bihar capital Patna, brazen miscreants shot two youths in broad daylight on Wednesday. Shockingly, the incident occurred on the road facing former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's residence and merely 50 meters from the Bakhtiyarpur police station. The incident caused a stir in the area. Both injured youths were initially taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bakhtiyarpur, where, after receiving first aid, they were referred to Patna for better medical care.

According to reports, the two youths were returning home on a motorcycle after attending the Ganga Aarti held at the *Sidhi Ghat* (stepped riverbank) along the Ganges. Meanwhile, miscreants lying in wait opened rapid fire at them. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

In the firing, one youth was shot in the back, while the other was hit in the abdomen. Despite their injuries, both youths managed to abandon their bike and flee to the Bakhtiyarpur Community Health Centre (CHC). Locals also assisted the injured and ensured their admission to the hospital.

The injured youths have been identified as Vishal Kumar and Abhishek Kumar, residents of Dedaur village in Bakhtiyarpur. After administering first aid, doctors referred them to Patna due to their critical condition.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team arrived at the scene and began an investigation. The police are examining footage from nearby CCTV cameras to identify the attackers. Raids are currently underway to apprehend the miscreants.
