ARA---------------------------CPI(ML) State Standing Committee member and former Ara Assembly candidate, Qyamuddin Ansari, issued a press release stating that the strike by document writers and stamp vendors—initiated on August 17, 2026, in opposition to the Bihar government's move to introduce paperless registration—is ongoing. Consequently, the registration process in Ara has come to a complete standstill, a situation that persists into the third day of the strike.

The striking document writers and stamp vendors held a meeting in Ara today to devise a strategy to ensure the strike's effectiveness. Addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) leader Qyamuddin Ansari stated that paperless registration would lead to increased unemployment and create a livelihood crisis for the various people associated with the registration process. He noted that the strike is also causing significant financial loss to the Bihar government. Ansari urged the government to meet with the strike leaders for talks and resolve the hardships faced by the common people of Bihar.

Speaking in support of the strike, Satyanarayan Prasad Sinha and Hanuman Singh stated that registration operations have completely halted in 123 registration offices across Bihar, including Ara, due to the strike, and they are committed to making the protest a success.

Key participants in the Ara meeting included CPI(ML) leader Qyamuddin Ansari, along with Hanuman Singh (President, Bihar Document Writers Association, Ara), Lavkush Sharma (Secretary), Surendra Prasad (Treasurer), Satyanarayan Prasad Sinha, Santosh Kumar, Advocate and former Ward Councilor Dinesh Kumar Munna, and Kameshwar Singh.
