BUXAR----------------------------A Sawan Festival was organized on Thursday at Loyola School, Pandeypatti, amidst an atmosphere of faith, devotion, culture, and enthusiasm. Children dressed as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati became the main attraction of the event. Their charming costumes and religious performances captivated everyone. The program featured the worship and *abhishek* (ritual bathing) of Lord Shiva, alongside devotional songs, cultural performances, *mehndi* application, and creative activities.

During the festival, children portraying Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati drew everyone's attention with their performances. The school premises resonated with the chant of "Om Namah Shivaya" and devotional songs, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Through their religious and cultural presentations, the students also highlighted the significance of the holy month of Sawan.

The event also shed light on the importance of Raksha Bandhan. Students were educated about the significance of love, trust, affection, and mutual responsibility in the sibling bond. Subsequently, several female students tied *rakhis* on the wrists of their male classmates, bringing the beauty of the sacred sibling relationship to life. Great enthusiasm was evident among the children throughout the event.

*Mehndi* application and various creative activities were also organized during the festival. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their artistic skills and creative talent. Their performances during the devotional music session and cultural programs added a special charm to the entire event. School Principal Samiksha Tiwari stated that the 'Sawan Mahotsav' was an effort to connect children with Indian culture, religious traditions, and nature. She remarked that festivals like Raksha Bandhan convey messages about the importance of relationships, love, and mutual trust. Such events help foster values, creativity, a sense of brotherhood, and social responsibility among the children.

The event concluded with a tree-plantation drive on the school premises. Students and the school community planted saplings to spread the message of environmental conservation. The children were sensitized to the importance of trees and the need to keep nature green. The festival ended with a pledge to conserve nature, amidst the greenery of the Sawan season and the newly planted saplings.
