PROFESSIONAL FILM TRAINING FROM FTII IN PATNA

PATNA------------------------For the first time in the capital city of Patna, an eight-day 'Script to Screen' workshop is being organized for young people aspiring to build careers in filmmaking and acting. This event is being held in collaboration with the Centre for Open Learning (CFOL) of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. The workshop will take place from August 5 to 11 at 'House of Variety, The Hub' (Regent Cinema Complex), East Gandhi Maidan, Patna, running daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The objective of the workshop is to provide participants with practical training in the entire filmmaking process. Training will cover subjects such as screenwriting, direction, acting, cinematography, camera operation, lighting, sound recording, editing, and post-production.

During the training, participants will not only receive theoretical knowledge but also have the opportunity to create short films in groups. At the conclusion of the workshop, the films produced will be screened and evaluated by experts.

The acting session will provide specialized training on techniques for acting in front of the camera, expression, body language, character development, and the differences between stage and screen acting. Participants will also be introduced to the practical aspects of cinematography, sound design, and editing.

Beyond aspiring actors, this workshop is considered beneficial for content creators, YouTubers, short filmmakers, theater artists, and students of media and mass communication.

The workshop's course director will be the renowned film educator Girish Jotwani. The training curriculum has been designed with the industry's current requirements in mind.

A registration fee of ₹12,600 has been set for participation. Due to limited seats, interested participants are urged to register promptly.
