MV COLLEGE TEACHERS PROTEST PROPOSED UNIVERSITY ACT

BUXAR--------------------------Teachers and non-teaching staff of Maharshi Vishwamitra College staged a protest on the college premises on Tuesday as part of a phased agitation against the Bihar government's proposed University Act 2026.

During the demonstration—organized under the directives of the 'Bihar State University and College Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff Struggle Front' (Sangharsh Morcha)—participants raised slogans vehemently opposing the government's proposed Act.

All teachers participated in the protest under the leadership of Dr. Ravi Prabhat, Vice-President of the College Teachers' Association. Meanwhile, all non-teaching staff members, led by Shanti Kumari Devi (Secretary of the Non-Teaching Staff Association), were also present during the agitation.

Expressing their objections to the proposed University Act 2026, the teachers and staff demanded that the government reconsider the move. The protesters stated that the phased agitation against the proposed Act would continue in accordance with the instructions of the Struggle Front.
