BHABHUA----------------------A seven-month-old baby girl, found abandoned in the bushes in Madra village under the Chainpur police station area, has been safely rescued by the district administration and the Child Protection Unit. Upon receiving information about the infant, the administration took immediate action and placed her under its care. According to the Child Protection Unit, the baby is currently safe and healthy, and is receiving proper care under the administration's supervision.

According to reports, the seven-month-old infant had been abandoned near some bushes in Madra village (Chainpur). A local woman, Sunita Devi, displayed great humanity upon spotting the baby in such a dire state and immediately took her into her care. Demonstrating alertness, she promptly reported the matter by calling the emergency helpline number 112 and the Child Helpline number 1098. Upon receiving the information, local police and Child Helpline (CHL) personnel rushed to the scene. With the active cooperation of the joint team, the baby was quickly rescued.

Following the rescue, the infant was immediately admitted to Sadar Hospital, Kaimur (Bhabua), for necessary medical treatment and a health check-up. A team of specialist doctors conducted a thorough medical examination, declaring the baby to be completely healthy and out of danger. Currently, dedicated personnel from the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and Child Helpline (CHL) are ensuring the child's proper care, nutrition, and safety.

The Assistant Director of the Child Protection Unit has clarified that, following the hospital discharge process, the child will be transferred to an adoption agency in Kaimur in accordance with regulations—keeping her best interests in mind—to facilitate the smooth completion of subsequent legal and rehabilitation procedures.

Appeal: The administration appeals to the general public to immediately inform the Child Helpline or local authorities if an abandoned child is found, rather than leaving the child in an unsafe situation, so that the lives of these innocent children can be safeguarded in time.
