ARA-----------------------Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm under the aegis of the Bhojpur District Hindi Sahitya Sammelan. The event, held at the organization's auditorium, was presided over by Prof. Baliraj Thakur, the President of the Sammelan and a Senator at Veer Kunwar Singh University. In his presidential address, Prof. Baliraj Thakur stated that Hindi serves as a powerful unifying force for the nation and acts as a carrier of India's composite culture. Citing Keshav Chandra Sen, Prof. Thakur remarked that if Hindi were accepted as a common language for India, national unity could be easily achieved. He further emphasized that the greatest potential for progress lies in one's own language. Dr. Ayodhya Prasad Upadhyay noted that Hindi is no longer unknown to the world; it is well-recognized even in non-Hindi-speaking regions and is gradually gaining popularity across many countries. Dr. Diwakar Pandey, Head of the Bhojpuri Department, observed that Hindi's vocabulary has been enriched by adopting words from various languages, and its literary wealth reflects contributions from writers across different regions of the country, as well as individuals from diverse religious and caste backgrounds. Dr. Nandji Dubey, the General Secretary of the Sammelan, highlighted a unique feature of modern Hindi: in its current form, it is not merely the dialect of any specific region. He noted that Hindi has achieved significant international reach in the academic sphere across many countries. Shashikant Tiwari, Shivdas Singh, Prof. Vishwanath Chaudhary, Acharya Giridhar Tiwari, and Satyanarayan Rai also addressed the gathering. Janmejay Ojha, Krishna Yadav 'Krishnendu', and Vishwanath Dubey participated in the poetry recitation session. Notable attendees included Mahendra Pandey, Vishwambhar Singh, Ramraj Singh, Suresh Bhojpuri, and Ramesh Singh 'Prapann'. The program was conducted by Rakesh Tiwari, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Pankaj Thakur.
