ARA--------------------------The police conducted a 'goonda parade' on Sunday within the Shahpur police station area. The objective was to monitor criminal activities and update information regarding the current status of individuals listed in the police's 'goonda register' (record of known offenders). During the parade held at the station premises, the police questioned the attendees about their current whereabouts, employment, and daily activities.

Acting on the instructions of Station House Officer (SHO) Ajit Kumar Jha, approximately 90 individuals listed in the register had been directed to appear at the station. However, only 30 people arrived at the scheduled time. The police verified the identities of those present and inquired about their current places of residence and means of livelihood.

During the questioning, some individuals stated that they had moved to other locations for employment purposes. Meanwhile, it was revealed that others could not attend because they were residing in flood-affected areas. The police stated that necessary information regarding the absentees would also be gathered.

According to the police, the activities of individuals listed in the register are monitored regularly. The purpose of the parade is to update records on their current whereabouts and activities, thereby helping to maintain law and order in the area and keep a timely watch on any potential criminal activity.
