ARA--------------------------District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena met with representatives from the Javaniya area on Monday to assess the situation and needs of families affected by soil erosion. The representatives presented issues regarding the loss of homes and post-erosion rehabilitation to the District Magistrate.

Listening to the affected families' grievances with sensitivity and seriousness, the District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to have a district-level team conduct a site inspection and a detailed survey to ensure a proper assessment of the affected families and the extent of housing damage. He gave clear instructions that ensuring assistance reaches every eligible affected family in accordance with the rules is a priority for the district administration.

The District Magistrate directed that, based on the survey and investigation, eligible affected families be promptly provided with the assistance and benefits due to them under the rules. Additionally, matters related to post-erosion rehabilitation must be addressed on a priority basis in accordance with regulations, and necessary action must be ensured.

Previously, compensation for housing damage was provided to 203 affected families in accordance with the rules. Furthermore, 127 landless affected families were issued land allotment certificates (*parcha*), covered under housing schemes, and rehabilitated in Bilauti. The district administration strives to ensure that every eligible family affected by erosion receives timely assistance and necessary administrative support in accordance with the rules, and that their issues are resolved with sensitivity.
