BJP MAHILA MORCHA PROTESTED AGAINST CONGRESS

ARA-------------------------A massive and spirited sit-in protest was organized today at the Bhojpur district headquarters (Collectorate premises) under the aegis of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha. Hundreds of women participated in this one-day protest, raising slogans and vehemently opposing the top leadership of the Congress party—specifically Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The impassioned voices of the women became the focal point of the event, echoing throughout the premises.

During the protest, speakers leveled serious allegations, stating that Congress MP Professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam had subjected female students at JNU to severe sexual harassment and abuse. The students have clearly confirmed this in their statements, and the university administration has already taken action against him based on these accounts. Despite this, the Congress party—which itself claims to champion women's empowerment and leadership—is completely avoiding taking any disciplinary or legal action against the accused MP.

Describing the situation as extremely unfortunate and shameful, the speakers stated that this incident is clear proof that women and female students are far from safe within the Congress party, despite its grand claims regarding women's leadership. While the Congress party frequently invokes democracy and the Constitution, it has a history of stifling democratic institutions; in the current instance, too, it is displaying the same authoritarian attitude by attempting to shield its MP.

Through this protest, a formal memorandum addressed to the President of India was drafted and subsequently submitted via the District Magistrate (DM). A memorandum was submitted strongly demanding the immediate termination of the parliamentary membership of the accused MP, Professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, alongside a call for the strictest legal action and his immediate arrest. During the protest, women voiced their outrage against the Congress party's double standards, stating unequivocally that the humiliation and harassment of women in the country would no longer be tolerated.

Addressing the gathering, the Honorable MLA from Barhara, Raghavendra Pratap Singh, spoke in fiery and stern terms, describing the act committed by Congress MP Professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam against female students on the JNU campus as utterly despicable, inhumane, and completely unforgivable. Such a heinous act and misconduct within the realm of education is deeply shameful. Public representatives who engage in such misdeeds and tarnish the dignity of democracy have no right to sit in Parliament for even a moment and must be dismissed with immediate effect.

In her address, BJP Mahila Morcha leader Sushma Lata Kushwaha stated that such a base mindset and conduct within higher education campuses not only insult womanhood but also deal a severe blow to the nation's democratic values. Such acts and misconduct in the educational sphere are utterly shameful and cannot be condoned at any cost.

Presiding over the event, BJP Bhojpur District President Durga Raj remarked that it is a profound irony of our country and political system that, while one party claims to have women in its highest leadership positions, an MP from that very party commits such heinous and criminal acts against women and female students on campuses. Such conduct and misconduct within the educational sphere are extremely shameful and condemnable, exposing the Congress party's duplicity. Hundreds of male and female activists were present at this massive sit-in and demonstration, including District President Durga Raj, Barhara MLA Raghavendra Pratap Singh, State Committee members C.D. Sharma, Harendra Pandey, Rajendra Tiwari, and Vijay Kumar Singh; District Vice-Presidents Dhirendra Singh, Suryakant Pandey, Vishnu Mishra, Jyoti Prakash, and Rajkumar Kushwaha; District General Secretaries Santosh Kumar Chandravanshi, Narendra Tiwari, Sushma Lata Kushwaha, and Shalini Singh; as well as Dr. K.N. Singh, Sunil Kumar, Ashok Singh, Kundan Kushwaha, Pintu Rai, Dheeraj Singh, Vishnu Singh, Durgesh Singh, Shubham Pandey, Santosh Singh 'Santu', Manish Roshan, Prashant Singh, Sanjay Singh, Arvind Singh, and Aditya Muni Singh.
