Addressing the dharna, the speakers said that the BJP government at the Center wants to put India's agricultural economy in crisis by making an India-US agricultural agreement. Ever since the BJP government has been formed, corporate houses have entered Bihar. Whose land is being given to Adani-Ambani at throwaway prices. Thousands of acres of land is being snatched from farmers in the name of township, satellite and water park! The government is only doing the work of cheating the farmers. It is happening! In 2019 itself, Modi's government had announced to give support price to the farmers but till now it has not been received. Farmers have lakhs of loans. The government is not waiving off the loans of those farmers whereas Modi's government has waived off Rs. 22000 lakh crore loan of Subhash Chandra.
Further, the farmer leaders said that the BJP government of Bihar is going to impose tax on the houses of farmers and laborers in the Panchayat, construction of Son Canal from less district, the government has been ignoring the demand for modernization for years, due to less rainfall in Bhojpur, there is a drought situation in many areas, even after half of the month of August has passed, water has not reached the end of the canals, all the government tube wells of the district are closed, there are electricity poles till the fields for irrigation and there is no transformer! Chief Minister's Despite the announcement, no one is getting electricity from 6 in the morning till 6 in the evening, on the other hand, fake bills worth lakhs of rupees have been sent to the homes of farmers and laborers. Farmers are not able to get food at the government price. Earlier they were getting ₹ 50 kg bag, it has been reduced to 45 kg and its price has also been increased due to which farmers are facing a lot of hindrance in doing farming! After the strike, a 13-point demand letter has been sent to the Bhojpur District Magistrate. Magistrate was handed over to the protest site!
