PATNA------------------------Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav's MLA Kumar Sarvjeet's use of the word "poor" to refer to Lok Janshakti Party founder and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has raised political heat. ...
A single word has created such a storm in the Bihar Assembly's budget session that it has sparked a fierce debate. The LJP and RJD have clashed over the use of the word "poor" to refer to Lok Janshakti Party founder and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan by Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav's MLA Kumar Sarvjeet.
MP Rajesh Verma, who was in Khagaria to participate in a program organized on the occasion of Mahashivratri, reacted sharply, saying that this statement is not only inappropriate but also an attack on the identity of millions of deprived and Dalits. He bluntly stated that the Rashtriya Janata Dal should control its tongue. "These unbridled use of words has weakened his political ground," Verma said bitterly.
MP Verma demanded that Tejashwi Yadav publicly apologize. He warned that if an apology wasn't forthcoming, the agitation would not stop. "We won't compromise on the respect of our leader," he declared categorically.
The LJP is linking this issue to the legacy and honor of its founder. Party workers are outraged, and brainstorming on a protest strategy has intensified. While an official response from the RJD camp is awaited, the political rhetoric continues.
This controversy, which erupted during the budget session, is further raising the political temperature both inside and outside the Assembly. In the coming days, this issue could become more than just a matter of words, becoming the center of political identity and alliance equations.
