Upon receiving information about the incident, the police immediately rushed to the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it to the Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
According to reports, Priya Kumari—the 21-year-old daughter of Munna Paswan, a resident of Dahivar—entered her room on Friday afternoon and locked the door from the inside. When the door remained unopened for a considerable period, her family members grew suspicious. Upon breaking down the door and entering the room, the family members were left in shock; they found Priya hanging from the ceiling fan, suspended by a *dupatta* (scarf).
The Industrial Police Station was immediately informed of the incident. Acting swiftly upon the information, the police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and dispatched it to the Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem.
In this regard, Suresh Kumar Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Industrial Police Station, stated that preliminary investigations suggest family discord as the underlying cause of the incident. However, no formal written complaint has been lodged by the family members thus far. Once a complaint is received, the matter will be thoroughly investigated, and appropriate legal action will be taken.
