A new and deeply emotional turn of events has unfolded regarding the Bharat Tiwari encounter in Bilauti village, Bhojpur, Bihar. While the entire area is gripped by tension and mourning following the police action, village women and elders have narrated a story starkly different from the police's account. Following Bharat Tiwari's death, the village women state that everything he did was for the rights and welfare of the villagers. According to the locals, Bharat Tiwari was nothing short of a messiah for the region, and his death has left the entire village in deep shock.
After the encounter, a woman from the village made some startling statements. She said that Bharat Tiwari had arranged for basic amenities—such as land, electricity, and a dam—for the villagers. Any development or facilities visible in the area today were made possible solely because of him. Speaking with deep emotion, she asked, "Who did he ultimately die for?" She noted that everything he did was for the good of the village and its people, yet in return, he met his end at the hands of the police.
An elderly villager who was present at the scene recounted the events of that day. He explained that after the police arrived, Bharat Tiwari opened fire, following which the police cleared the villagers from the area. Subsequently, when the police surrounded him, the local Station House Officer (SHO) asked Bharat Tiwari to surrender, assuring him that all his demands would be met. Heeding the officer's words, Bharat Tiwari threw down his weapon and surrendered to the police, who then began escorting him away.
An elderly eyewitness has raised serious questions regarding the police's version of events, alleging that as the police were leading Bharat Tiwari away, villagers ran after them. Amidst this, the police suddenly fired three rounds at the unarmed Bharat Tiwari, killing him instantly. The elderly man emphasized that Tiwari was unarmed when shot, having already surrendered. During the incident, the police also brutally beat the village women, striking them with batons and driving them towards the forest.
There is deep outrage and grief throughout the village over Bharat Tiwari's death. Village elders describe him as a god-like figure who sacrificed his life fighting for the people's rights. Everything from repairing potholes on local roads to arranging electricity and fans was the result of his efforts. Villagers say that when no official or politician came to their aid, it was Bharat Tiwari who stepped forward to help them.
