VB-G RAM JI ACT 2025 IS A HISTORIC INITIATIVE FOR RURAL FAMILIES: GUNJAN SINGH

ARA---------------------------Deputy Development Commissioner, Bhojpur, Gunjan Singh, held a press conference regarding the Vikas Bharat – Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission (Rural): VB-G RAM Ji Act, 2025, where the scheme's objectives, provisions, and action plan were discussed in detail. He stated that the recently passed “Vikas Bharat – Employment and Livelihood Guarantee Mission (Rural): VB-G RAM Ji Act, 2025” by Parliament is a historic initiative for rural families across the country, increasing the employment guarantee from 100 days to 125 days. Key features of this Act include the right to unemployment allowance, timely payment of wages and daily compensation for delays, freedom to plan at the village level, and the development of Gram Panchayat plans developed through the Gram Sabha. The scheme covers four major categories of work: water security and conservation, rural Works related to infrastructure, livelihood promotion, and tackling climate change have been identified, which will form the basis of holistic development and sustainable livelihoods. Provisions have also been made for departmental integration, transparency, suspension of project work for a period of 60 days during agricultural operations, and an increase in the administrative budget limit from 6 percent to 9 percent. He clarified that all ongoing works under MNREGA are safe and will continue uninterrupted, and that upon full implementation of the VB-G RAMG Act, villagers will benefit from 125 days of assured employment and increased wage rates.
