ARA---------------------------The act of Hon'ble Minister Lakhendra Paswan Ji—throwing the RJD's election symbol, the 'lantern', into the trash and displaying it—violates democratic decorum and political etiquette.

One may disagree with a party's ideology, but it is inappropriate to insult its election symbol and the sentiments of the millions of workers and supporters associated with it.

It is unfortunate to see a public insult directed at the very symbol of the party and leadership that gave people identity, dignity, and opportunities in politics.

The people of Bihar are watching everything. In a democracy, the people are the ultimate power, and they deliver their verdict when the time comes.

The media, too, should focus more on real issues concerning public sentiment—such as inflation, unemployment, education, healthcare, corruption, and law and order. Let there be a discourse on public issues, not a politics of insult.
