BUXAR-----------------------------The police force of the Naya Bhojpur police station in the district has achieved a major breakthrough. During a routine patrol, the police arrested a youth found in possession of a loaded country-made pistol, while his accomplice managed to flee the scene.

Providing details on the incident, Station House Officer (SHO) Suman Kumar stated that a police team was out on patrol on Sunday. During this time, they received intelligence that two suspicious youths, riding a Pulsar motorcycle without a license plate, were loitering at the northern bend of the PCC road near Maharaja Kothi. Acting on this tip-off, the police team immediately rushed to the location and attempted to intercept the duo.

Upon spotting the police, one of the youths fled the scene on the motorcycle, while the other was apprehended on the spot by the officers. During a subsequent search, a loaded country-made pistol was recovered from the arrested youth.

The arrested youth has been identified as Karu Kumar Yadav (son of Mahesh Yadav), a resident of Jurabganj village within the Kodha police station area of Katihar district. Preliminary investigations suggest a suspected connection between him and the notorious ‘Kodha Gang.’ This gang is known for targeting individuals withdrawing cash from banks and committing crimes such as mugging and chain-snatching.

The SHO further informed that the absconding accomplice has been identified, and continuous raids are being conducted at potential hideouts to effect his arrest. A thorough investigation into the matter is currently underway.
