-District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) held an important meeting regarding the preparations for the Special Lok Adalat to be held on July 18, 2026. This Lok Adalat will be for speedy disposal of check bounce cases related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The meeting was held at ADR Bhawan, Sheohar.

BHABHUA----------------------------District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) held an important meeting regarding the preparations for the Special Lok Adalat to be held on July 18, 2026. This Lok Adalat will be for speedy disposal of check bounce cases related to Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. The meeting was held at ADR Bhawan, Sheohar.
Lalan Kumar Rajak, Secretary, DLSA Sheohar, organized this meeting with the Chairman and Secretary of Bar Association, Sheohar. He said that as per the instructions of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and Bihar State Legal Services Authority (BSLSA), the main objective of this Lok Adalat is to provide effective and amicable resolution of pending check bounce cases on the basis of mutual consent and conciliation.
The Secretary appealed to the Bar Association officials and advocates to mark as many cases as possible under Section 138, NI Act for this Special Lok Adalat. Also, motivate the concerned parties for amicable resolution of disputes through Lok Adalat.
Various aspects related to ensuring attendance, role of advocates and successful functioning of Special Lok Adalat were discussed in detail. The Chairman and Secretary of the Bar Association assured full cooperation to the District Legal Services Authority and also urged the advocates to play an active role in making this special campaign successful.
District Legal Services Authority, Sheohar has requested all concerned parties and advocates to participate in this Special Lok Adalat (NI Act, Section 138) to be held on July 18, 2026. With this, they will be able to get quick and permanent resolution of their check bounce related disputes through mutual agreement.
