ARA----------------------------Today, the 39th memorial anniversary of the late Smt. Savitri Devi was observed at Anand Hospital, Arrah. On this occasion, sherbet was distributed among the general public—who were feeling distressed by the afternoon heat—to provide them with relief. In the evening, continuing a tradition observed every year, food packets were distributed to the poor and slum dwellers residing on the footpaths surrounding Ramna Maidan, specifically at the gate of the Hanuman Temple. The event was organized by the city's renowned physician, Dr. K.N. Sinha, in memory of his mother. The sherbet distribution was conducted in collaboration with the Sanatani Ganga Foundation and was inaugurated by the renowned and newly crowned 'Miss India,' Smt. Apoorva Verma. Dr. Sandeep Kumar, the Bhojpur District Convener representing the Sanatani Ganga Foundation, extended his support during the event. During the program, Smt. Apoorva Verma was felicitated with a bouquet and honored for her achievements.
Dr. K.N. Sinha shared that his mother, the late Smt. Savitri Devi, was a deeply pious and socially conscious woman. Her spiritual insight was so profound that people often referred to her as a *Trikaldarshi* (one who possesses foresight into the past, present, and future). Many of her predictions subsequently came true. She undertook the renovation and beautification of numerous religious sites in Nawangar, Bikramganj, and the village of Gacchai; she commissioned the construction of temples in several locations, installed hand pumps to ensure water availability for devotees at various shrines, and oversaw the repair and aesthetic enhancement of numerous wells. Through her blessings, countless people found success in their endeavors. She remained perpetually immersed in religious activities, *Satsangs* (spiritual gatherings), and *Kirtans* (devotional singing). Her enduring message was that hard work, selfless service, and sacrifice never go in vain. On this occasion, Prof. Kamal Singh (former Principal of the Women's College), Smt. Kanchan Singh (former Principal of Nemichand School), Shri Nirmal Singh (organizer of the Kunwar Singh Vijayotsav), and Shri Suman Kumar Sinha (former Manager of Magadh Gramin Bank) also shared their thoughts and sentiments. Hundreds of people were present at the event, where they partook of the sherbet and received *Prasad* (sacred food offering). Service to the public—specifically commuters, laborers, pushcart vendors, and rickshaw pullers—was rendered by offering them *sharbat* (sweetened drinks) and cold water. At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, the Bhojpur Coordinator for the Sanatani Ganga Foundation, delivered the vote of thanks. Prominent among those present were Shashi Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, Anil Kumar, Shashikant, Jaiprakash, Raju Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Omprakash Srivastava, Ajit Kumar, journalist Narendra Singh, Sanjay Srivastava, Dharmendra Kumar, Vicky Singh, and Nikki Kumar, alongside numerous other journalists. This initiative of serving *sharbat* during the summer season will continue in the days ahead.
