SASARAM------------------------The district has witnessed a spate of road accidents over the past 24 hours, leaving several police station areas shaken by fatalities and serious mishaps. Incidents of road accidents across various jurisdictions within Rohtas district over the last 24 hours have raised serious concerns. Reports of fatalities, severe injuries, and public outrage have emerged from accidents occurring in different blocks and villages.

Tilouthu Police Station Area: Near Indrapuri Chowk, Manmato Devi—a resident of Indrapuri who was returning from her morning walk—sustained critical injuries after being struck by a speeding truck.

Sasaram Urban Area: At the SP Jain College intersection, Traffic Constable Mukesh Kumar—who was on duty conducting "No-Entry" checks—was critically injured after being hit by a tractor; he subsequently succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Rohtas Police Station Area: Near Mahurav village on NH-119, seven-year-old Shivam Kumar was killed after being struck by a speeding vehicle, prompting villagers to stage a protest by blocking the road.

Dawath Police Station Area: In another accident that occurred late at night, a young motorcyclist died after colliding with an unidentified vehicle.

The continuous rise in road accidents has raised several questions regarding road safety, the prevalence of overloaded vehicles, and speeding within the district. Residents are demanding strict action from the administration and calling for a strengthening of safety protocols.
