ARA--------------------------Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania convened a review meeting via video conferencing (Zoom) to assess the progress of works related to Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and compost pits.

During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted regarding the construction, operation, and solid waste management activities associated with MRF centers and compost pits across the district's various blocks and urban local bodies.

Land has currently been made available in all seven urban local bodies of the district for solid waste management and waste disposal. Construction work related to MRFs and waste management has already commenced in Ara Municipal Corporation, Shahpur, and Jagdishpur.

The District Magistrate sought updates on the scheme-wise progress from the concerned officials and directed that pending tasks be completed expeditiously on a priority basis.

He instructed all relevant departments to establish mutual coordination and ensure the high-quality completion of MRF and compost pit-related works within the stipulated timeframe.

The District Magistrate also issued directives for the regular monitoring of units under construction, ensuring the availability of necessary resources, and strengthening operational systems to guarantee the scientific management of solid waste.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Collector, Municipal Commissioner (Municipal Corporation), all Sub-Divisional Officers, all Land Reforms Deputy Collectors, the Officer-in-Charge of the District Development Branch, all Executive Officers of Nagar Panchayats and Nagar Parishads, Circle Officers (Koilwar, Bihiya, Shahpur, Ara Sadar, Jagdishpur, Piro, and Garhani), and other concerned officials.
