PROTEST ON JUNE REGARDING TEACHERS’ DEMANDS
Gorakh Nath Singh (alias Arun Kumar), Block President of the Bihar State Elementary Teachers' Association, issued a press release stating that due to the negligence and apathetic attitude of the state government and the Education Department, it has become difficult for elementary teachers across the state to receive their monthly salaries since March 2026. This is despite a government mandate requiring salary disbursement on the first of every month without fail to ensure that quality education is not compromised. However, receiving the salary even in the fourth month seems unlikely, as the state has not yet allocated funds under the GOB (Government of Bihar) head to the district for this purpose.

ARA-------------------------Gorakh Nath Singh (alias Arun Kumar), Block President of the Bihar State Elementary Teachers' Association, issued a press release stating that due to the negligence and apathetic attitude of the state government and the Education Department, it has become difficult for elementary teachers across the state to receive their monthly salaries since March 2026. This is despite a government mandate requiring salary disbursement on the first of every month without fail to ensure that quality education is not compromised. However, receiving the salary even in the fourth month seems unlikely, as the state has not yet allocated funds under the GOB (Government of Bihar) head to the district for this purpose.
Mr. Singh remarked that even after the formation of a new government in the state, the system has failed to improve; instead, a crisis regarding timely salary payments has emerged, which is indicative of the government's failure.
It is worth noting that the salaries of *Niyojit* (contractual) teachers are paid from the GOB fund. The failure to receive timely payments poses a significant challenge for these low-paid teachers in supporting their families.
Mr. Singh emphasized that timely salary payment is essential to strengthening the state's education system.
Despite the existence of relevant regulations, teachers are not receiving benefits such as time-bound promotions, promotions to the graduate grade, or promotions to the post of Headmaster. Furthermore, the process for voluntary and mutual transfers within the district has not yet commenced.
Dozens of issues concerning *Niyojit* teachers, *Vishisht* (special category) teachers, school teachers, *Pradhan Shikshak* (Head Teachers), and *Pradhanadhyapak* (Headmasters) remain unresolved to this day.
All teachers are urged to gather in large numbers at JP Smarak, Ara, at 12:00 PM to make this event a success.
