PROMOTE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS DAUGHTERS:DM

ARA-----------------------Under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter) scheme, the district administration's new initiative, the "Beti Janmotsav Kanya Ratna" (Daughter's Birth Celebration - Jewel of a Daughter) honor campaign, was launched at the Sandesh Referral Hospital premises by District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, Deputy Development Commissioner Gunjan Singh, and public representatives.

Addressing the program, the District Magistrate said that the objective of this initiative is not only to encourage the birth of girl children but also to connect their families with social, economic, and health security from the moment of birth. He informed that under this campaign, girl children and their families will be provided with the benefits of 25 public welfare schemes from the time of birth, ensuring effective access to government schemes and promoting a positive attitude towards daughters in society.

This campaign will be organized on the third Thursday of every month in all blocks of the district, where girl children born through institutional deliveries in the previous month and their mothers will be honored. On this occasion, they were provided with baby kits, congratulatory messages, tree plantation in the name of the girl child, information about various government schemes, and on-the-spot birth certificates and vaccination cards were also provided to all the women present.

The Deputy Development Commissioner said that through the "Beti Janmotsav-Kanya Ratna" campaign, the birth of girl children will be linked to respect and security, and their families will be provided with the benefits of various public welfare schemes on a single platform. She said that this initiative will ensure the all-round development of girls and further strengthen a positive attitude towards daughters in society. This campaign was launched simultaneously in all blocks of the district today, benefiting approximately 1200 girl children and their families.

On this occasion, all the honorable public representatives at the block level, District Program Officer (ICDS), District Project Manager (WCDC), District Mission Coordinator (DHEW), Block Development Officer, Medical Officer In-charge of Sandesh, Child Development Project Officer, Women Supervisors, and other concerned officers and staff were present.
