PROCLAMATION NOTICES PASTED ON HOMES OF FOUR ACCUSES IN GAS AGENCY CLERK ROBBERY CASE

ARA------------------------Legal proceedings have intensified regarding the robbery case at a gas agency within the Koilwar police station area, which occurred in January. In connection with this case, the police have initiated the process of attaching the property of the accused individuals who are currently absconding. As part of this process, notices were pasted on the homes of four accused individuals on Monday. Acting on the court's directive, police personnel under the leadership of SHO Narottam Chandra carried out the task of affixing these notices to the accused's residences.

The accused include Arvind Kumar (son of Lal Babu Rai, a resident of Koilwar Ward No. 2); Sahil Kumar (son of Suresh Prasad, a resident of Suraundha Colony, Ward No. 13); Golu Kumar (son of Piyer Ram, also of Suraundha Colony); and Amit Kumar—alias Rohit, alias Manjhiya—(son of Sudama Rai, a resident of Harangi Tola within the same police station jurisdiction). According to the police, if these individuals fail to surrender even after the notices have been posted, their properties will be attached. Previously, the police had already arrested four other accused individuals in this case and sent them to jail.

Meanwhile, the court has issued a temporary stay on the arrest of one of the accused individuals. This information was conveyed through a press statement issued on Monday by Superintendent of Police (SP) Raj. According to the police, on the evening of January 19, a robbery involving approximately ₹55,000 at gunpoint was committed against Chandrakant Singh—the clerk (Munshi) of a gas agency located in Babura—near the Daulatpur Harangi embankment within the Koilwar police station area. When he resisted, the criminals opened fire. A bullet grazed the clerk's head, causing him injury.

At the time of the incident, the clerk was returning home from the warehouse with the day's cash collections, accompanied by the gas agency's pickup truck driver. In connection with this case, an FIR was registered against approximately half a dozen unidentified, bike-borne criminals based on the statement of the injured clerk, Chandrakant Singh, a resident of Daulatpur village. The investigation subsequently revealed the names of all the accused individuals. Based on these findings, four of the accused were previously arrested and sent to jail. Raids are currently being conducted to apprehend the remaining four accused. Since they have not yet been arrested, legal proceedings involving the issuance of public proclamations (wanted notices) have been initiated against them.
