POLICE SEIZED 87 LITRES OF IMFL

BUXAR-----------------------A major attempt at illegal liquor smuggling was thwarted within the police station's jurisdiction thanks to the vigilance of the police force. The police recovered 87 liters of liquor that had been hidden in a field (*badhar*) situated to the south of Palia village, along the Isapur-Kheri main road. This operation was executed based on a confidential tip-off, effectively foiling the smugglers' plans.

According to reports, the liquor smugglers had brought the consignment from Uttar Pradesh; they had packed the liquor bottles into crates, sealed the crates inside sacks, and concealed them within a haystack. It is suspected that the smugglers were preparing to transport and distribute the consignment under the cover of darkness during the night. However, the police received a tip-off regarding the activity, promptly arrived at the scene, and launched a search operation.

During the search, crates of liquor—hidden inside plastic sacks—were recovered from within the haystack. Upon inspection, the contents were identified as "Desi Blue Lime" liquor. The police have seized the entire consignment, completed the necessary legal formalities, and safely secured the recovered liquor at the police station.

Station House Officer (SHO) Niwas Kumar stated that a continuous campaign is being conducted against liquor mafias in the region, and special surveillance is being maintained in the border areas.
