POLICE ARRESTED 7 ABSCONDERS

ARA------------------------The Nawada police have arrested seven individuals who were absconding in connection with a robbery case. They were apprehended from areas falling under the jurisdictions of the Nawada and Town police stations. Six mobile phones of various brands were recovered from their possession. The arrested accused include Pushkar Kumar (son of Vinod Prasad, KG Road, Nawada PS area); Roshan Kumar alias Chocolate (son of Chunnu Lal); Nitin Kumar (son of the late Sunil Singh); Shankar Kumar (son of Jayprakash Gupta, Anaith Kushwaha Dharamshala, Nawada PS area); Atish Kumar (son of Rahul Paswan, Dharhara, Town PS area); Golu Mahto alias Rahul Kumar (son of Arvind Singh, Ibrahim Nagar); and Ankit Pandey alias Jali (son of Manoj Pandey, originally from Navanagar in Buxar district, currently residing at Maharaja Hata Gali No. 2, Nawada PS area). All of them are reported to be accused named in the case.

It is worth noting that on the evening of May 12, Krishna Prasad—son of the late Tulsi Sao and a resident of Maruti Nagar (Town PS area)—was returning home from Patna. After alighting at Ara station, he boarded an auto-rickshaw. Two unidentified miscreants, who were already seated in the vehicle, began assaulting him.

They forced him out of the auto and, at gunpoint, took him to the grounds behind Maharaja College. There, the miscreants forced him to remove all his clothes and footwear. Finding nothing else of value, they robbed him of the gold chain, ring, and locket he was wearing. The victim, Krishna Prasad, had lodged an FIR against the two unidentified miscreants at the Nawada police station.

The names of all the accused surfaced during the investigation. Bipin Bihari, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Nawada, stated that Shankar Kumar, Ankit Kumar Pandey alias Jali, and another absconding accused, Vishnunand Kumar alias Suman, have prior criminal records. They have previously been accused in robbery cases and have served time in jail. The police are conducting continuous raids to apprehend the absconding Vishnunand Kumar.
