ARA-----------------------Ravneet Kumar, a resident of Ward 1 Katkaira in Koilwar Nagar Panchayat of Bhojpur district, Bihar, has made the entire region proud by becoming a Lieutenant in the Indian Army. His achievement has brought a wave of joy to the village and surrounding areas.
An example of hard work and dedication: Success doesn't come overnight, but with determination, it is bound to come one day. Ravneet Kumar of Koilwar has accomplished something similar. He has now become an officer in the Indian Army as Lieutenant Ravneet Kumar.
Where did the inspiration come from: Ravneet is the son of Jagannath Singh, a head assistant at the Mental Health Hospital in Koilwar, and Kiran Devi. The middle of three brothers, Ravneet has been a bright student since childhood. Ravneet said that his initial education was from Koilwar, and after seeing his elder brother go to Sainik School, he told his father that he also wanted to go to Sainik School. His father got him admitted there, and he completed his further studies.
Success through TES-46: Ravneet said that he achieved this position through the Indian Army's Technical Entry Scheme (TES-46). This scheme is for science students of class twelve, in which an engineering degree is combined with military training. Successful candidates receive a permanent commission as a Lieutenant.
In 2022, Ravneet joined the Officer Training Academy (OTA) Gaya. After one year of training there, he was sent to the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) Secunderabad. After completing three years of training, he passed out as a Lieutenant from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) Dehradun on December 13, 2025.
Lieutenant Ravneet said that after passing out, he will again undergo training at MCEME for another year. After this, he will dedicate his services entirely to the Indian Army.
"Seeing my elder brother go to Sainik School, I also told my father that I wanted to go. I have reached this point because of my childhood inspiration and Sainik School. My elder brother has been my inspiration. I have achieved this milestone under TES-46. Now I will dedicate my services completely to the Indian Army." - Ravneet, Lieutenant
Ravneet's father, Jagannath Singh, said that there is a festive atmosphere in Koilwar after his son returned home as a Lieutenant. Local people are visiting their home to congratulate them and offer their best wishes. Ravneet's elder brother is preparing for the NDA. Jagannath Singh further added that he has high hopes for all three of his sons. Currently, one son has achieved success first.
