SASARAM-----------------------At the Sasaram Collectorate—the administrative hub where the District Magistrate, DDC, DTO, and other senior district officials hold office—the general public is left yearning for even the most basic amenity: drinking water.

With temperatures soaring above 40–45°C, the elderly, women, and young children are forced to stand in queues for hours on end to complete essential paperwork. There is absolutely no adequate provision for clean drinking water within the Collectorate premises; when thirsty, visitors are left wandering aimlessly in search of water. While officials work in air-conditioned rooms equipped with every comfort, there is not even a single water cooler available for the public. Does the installation of a simple water cooler not even figure on the administration's list of priorities? Providing drinking water during the scorching summer months is not merely a matter of convenience; it is a fundamental issue of humanity and sensitivity.

We appeal to the Honorable District Magistrate to take immediate cognizance of the severe heatwave and arrange for water coolers and clean drinking water within the Collectorate premises, thereby providing much-needed relief to the people traveling from distant areas.
