NIKSHAY MITRAS HONOURED AT CHC

BHABHUA---------------------------Under the 100-day 'TB-Free India' campaign, food baskets were distributed as nutritional support to TB patients at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Durgawati, on Monday with the assistance of 'Nikshay Mitras'. On this occasion, 'Nikshay Mitras' who demonstrated outstanding support and active participation in the TB eradication campaign were honored with certificates of appreciation.

The event was attended by the Block Development Officer (BDO), Medical Officer In-Charge (MOIC), Block Health Manager (BHM) Manish Srivastava, Senior Clerk Tribhuvan Singh, BCM Ashutosh Kumar, STS Nitish Kumar, and Piramal Foundation’s Program Officer–Communicable Diseases (PO-CD) Deepak Pandey, along with the institute's doctors, health officials, and healthcare workers.

Speaking on the occasion, officials urged TB patients to take their medication regularly for the prescribed duration, consume a nutritious and balanced diet, and strictly adhere to medical advice. They also called upon capable citizens, voluntary organizations, and social groups to become 'Nikshay Mitras' and support TB patients with their nutrition and treatment.

Speakers emphasized that community participation, public awareness, and the role of 'Nikshay Mitras' are crucial in the eradication of TB. All officials reiterated their resolve to further strengthen collective efforts to achieve the goal of a TB-free India within the stipulated timeframe.
