AGE IS NO BARRIER TO DETERMINATION

BHABHUA-----------------------Ashok Kumar Srivastava, the former Branch Manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) at Hata in the subdivision, stands as a living example that age is never a hindrance to determination and the spirit of service. Even after retiring from banking service in 2022, he chose to continue his studies rather than simply sitting at home.

Alongside his pursuit of education, he has a keen interest in writing; a book of his poems titled *Parchhaiyan* (Shadows) was published last year. Following his retirement, he served as a Finance and Credit Advisor for PNB in ​​Kaimur for nearly three years. Simultaneously, he has been actively raising awareness among women, children, and the elderly regarding financial literacy, safe banking practices, and protection against cybercrime at RSETI Chainpur, Kaimur, as well as in various schools and Jeevika centers.

His dedication to education is also truly inspiring. Even at this stage of life, he is pursuing an M.A. in History and studying English Honours through IGNOU. He believes that there is no age limit for learning and that knowledge is the greatest medium for societal progress. During his tenure at the bank, he remained immensely popular among ordinary customers. Whenever the branch faced staff shortages or heavy crowds, he would personally sit at the counter to facilitate cash withdrawals and print passbooks himself, ensuring that customers faced no unnecessary inconvenience.

His simple, humble, and cooperative demeanor remains etched in people's hearts to this day. Ashok Kumar Srivastava’s life conveys the message that true service, a zeal for learning, and dedication to society constitute a person's greatest identity.
