MIDDLE AGED MAN STRANGULATED TO DEATH

SASARAM-------------------------Chaos ensued in the district on Wednesday morning following the murder of a middle-aged man. Enraged by the killing, villagers blocked the main road and raised slogans against the police administration. The incident occurred in the Baknaura Panchayat area under the Rohtas police station limits. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Dadan Yadav, a resident of Ward No. 7 in Baknaura Panchayat.

According to reports, the deceased worked in truck loading at a cement factory in Banjari. Like any other day, he was returning home on his motorcycle after completing his shift at the factory on Tuesday night. Seizing the opportunity provided by a deserted stretch of road, some individuals intercepted Dadan Yadav and killed him by slitting his throat.

It is reported that the deceased had been involved in a long-standing family dispute over land. Although the exact motive behind the murder remains unclear, locals suspect a link to the land dispute. The family is devastated, and there is palpable anger among the local villagers.

Following the incident, the agitated villagers blocked the Dehri-Banjari road (National Highway 19C). Protesters demanded compensation for the victim's family and strict action against the perpetrators. Police from the local station arrived at the scene and made concerted efforts to pacify the protesters, but the villagers remained adamant about their demands. The road blockade has resulted in long queues of vehicles on both sides, causing significant inconvenience to commuters.
