PATNA---------------------------A massive education scam in Bihar: 3,000 'fake' teachers to be prosecuted, ₹1,400 crore to be recovered! The end is near for the fraudsters who have been ravaging Bihar's education system like termites. A major revelation has been made about teachers who have been looting the government treasury for the past 10 years using fake degrees.

3,000 fake teachers exposed: An investigation has revealed that the certificates (B.Ed, B.A, B.Sc) and residence and caste certificates of 3,000 teachers have been found to be fake.

₹1,400 crore recovered: These fake teachers have so far received approximately ₹1,400 crore in salaries from the government. The Education Department will now recover this entire amount, including interest.

12,000 still on the radar: The game is even bigger! The documents of 12,000 more teachers are suspicious and are under thorough investigation.

72,168 Folders Missing: The most shocking thing is that thousands of teachers' records (folders) have been made to disappear to avoid investigation.

Connection to Outside States: Most of the teachers caught are said to be residents of Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Haryana, and Delhi.

Local-level investigations were lax during the recruitment of 3.68 lakh employed teachers in Bihar. Due to manual records in many universities, investigations were delayed, which these fraudsters took advantage of.

While qualified and degree-holding youth are struggling on the streets, fraudulent individuals, sitting within the system, pocketed 1400 crore rupees! Is mere salary collection enough? Should they face strict legal action and imprisonment?
