LEGAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME ORGANIZED IN JAIL

BHABHUA--------------------------A legal awareness program for inmates was organized yesterday at the Divisional Jail, Shivhar, under the guidance of Deepak Kumar, Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Shivhar, and as per the instructions of the DLSA Secretary.

During the program, Panel Advocate Ashok Kumar Patel provided detailed information to the inmates regarding the judicial process based on the admission of guilt and about compoundable offenses. He explained that the objective of these legal provisions is to make the judicial process simple, speedy, and effective in appropriate cases and to provide lawful relief to eligible individuals.

On this occasion, Jail PLV (Para-Legal Volunteer) Amit Kumar Singh informed the inmates about the free legal aid, legal counseling, and other welfare schemes provided by the DLSA, encouraging them to seek legal assistance without hesitation whenever needed.

During the program, the inmates' queries were addressed, and they were made aware of their legal rights and the ease of access to justice.
