LAST PANCHAYAT ELECTION WAS THE ROOT CAUSE BEHIND THE TRIPLE MURDER IN BUXAR DISTRICT

BUXAR-----------------------------Dispute over sand and gravel were not the real root of murder of three persons of a family at Ahiyapur village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district but in fact the sees of enmity between the two families were sown in the last Panchayat elections. If the villagers are to be believed, the enmity between the families of Manoj Yadav and Chandra Yadav started in the last Panchayat election itself.

Rural sources said that Chandradev’s family had opposed Manoj Yadav and Santosh Yadav in the Panchayat elections. Manoj Yadav and Santosh Yada were defeated in the elections and were very much angry with the defeat and were looking for an opportunity to take revenge for the last three years. The dispute over sand was just a sham and the real story was rooted in the Panchayat elections. Sources said that Manoj Yadav and Santosh Yadav have a lot of dominance in the area and they have say their words in the Panchayat elections for a long time, the proof of which that Manoj Yadav once got his wife elected as District Board member while his brother to the seat of Vice President. Not only this, they also got their people appointed to the post of Mukhia in Rasen and Akbarpur Panchayats. Villagres said that Manoj Yadav and Santosh Yadav got their mother appointed as Mukhia of Akbarpur Panchayat on the basis of their influence while in Rassen Panchayat they made their favourite person the Mukhia and established their dominance in the area.  

Manoj Yadav has dozens of cases registered against him in the past. Last year, an FIR was lodged against him under Rajpur police station in which he was chargesheeted. Apart from political influence, both of them were of criminal nature. This is the reason that after Chandradev Singh opposed them in the Panchayat elections, they were angry with that family and were trying to teach them a lesson. Meanwhile, Chandradev’s family started a shop of stone chips and sand on the bank of the canal in the village. Sources said that Manoj Yadav, using the election rivalry as an excuse for the shop, got his henchmen to dump sand on Friday at the place whee these people had kept the gravel. Despite, the victim’s family exercised restraint but Manoj Yadav and Santosh Yadav wee hell-bent on taking revenge for the opposition in the Panchayat elections and on Saturday morning, both of them reached there with there armed men and opend fire and killed three persons of a family and also injured two others.
