ARA-----------------------------On the occasion of the tenth death anniversary of Prof. Balraj Madhok—founder secretary of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, former National President, and former Member of Parliament—a program was organized at the Friends Colony office, presided over by District President Madheshwar Nath Pandey. At the commencement of the event, floral tributes were offered to the portraits of Prof. Balraj Madhok, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya. Speaking as the keynote speaker at the program, Acharya Dr. Bharatbhushan Pandey, National President of the Akhil Bharatiya Jan Sangh, stated that Prof. Balraj Madhok—an inseparable associate of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya, and a great son of Mother India—is renowned as an ideal teacher, a skilled organizer, a profound thinker, a litterateur, a historian, an unparalleled warrior, a visionary statesman, and an outspoken parliamentarian. Following the untimely demise of Dr. Mookerjee, the duo of Prof. Madhok and Deendayal *ji* made a supreme contribution in steering the Jan Sangh and taking its message to every section of the masses. Acharya Pandey remarked that the ideal society and strong nation for which Madhok *ji* and Deendayal *ji* struggled have yet to be fully realized. He asserted that the primary objective of a political party is the national interest and the defense of the nation; electoral success is merely a secondary outcome. "Our struggle itself is our success," he declared. He further noted that, today, elements seeking to fragment society and weaken the nation for the sake of petty power and votes are actively at work. Politics, he lamented, has been held hostage by a few families and by elements wielding wealth and muscle power. In such a scenario, the Jan Sangh must launch a special campaign to awaken public consciousness on social, cultural, and economic fronts, and to effectively implement its policies. The Jan Sangh President stated that, by designating twenty-five Lok Sabha constituencies across the country as focal points, their party workers are actively engaged in efforts to empower society. He also pointed out that the great socialist Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia regarded Ram, Krishna, and Shiva as the ideals and inspirations of India—even initiating the 'Ramayana Mela'—yet the so-called socialists and Lohiaites of today are actively opposing Ram, the Ramayana, and the very ideals they once championed. Similarly, contrary to the views Dr. Ambedkar expressed regarding the creation of Pakistan—and the emphasis he placed on the unity and empowerment of Hindu society—a conspiracy is currently being orchestrated to fragment society by misusing his name. The Jan Sangh is spearheading a campaign to counter this plot at the grassroots level. The Jan Sangh chief stated that as long as elections remain prohibitively expensive, it will be impossible to eradicate socio-political disorder, inflation, and corruption. He proposed that the Election Commission should undertake the campaigning for all candidates, and that the tendency to squander money like water during elections must be curbed. The combined forces of money, caste, and muscle power have stifled merit and rendered democracy devoid of substance. Democracy can be made truly successful and meaningful only by fostering a spirit of fervent nationalism within society. The program was anchored by Advocate Akhileshwar Nath Tiwari; the welcome address was delivered by District Vice President Janardan Mishra; and the vote of thanks was proposed by National Executive Member Advocate Satyendra Narayan Singh. Prominent figures such as Vishwanath Dubey, Shivdas Singh, Narmadeshwar Upadhyay, Dhruv Kumar Singh, Ramprakash Pandey, Ajay Kumar Pathak, and Brajkishore Pandey were present at the event.
