ARA--------------------------A meeting of the Bhojpur District Standing Committee was held at the District Office in Shritola, Arrah, to finalize preparations for the CPI(ML)'s 12th State Conference, scheduled to take place in Darbhanga [Laheriasarai] from May 16–18, 2026. Politburo member and senior leader Comrade Swadesh Bhattacharya attended the meeting as a special guest. The meeting was presided over by District Secretary Abhyuday.
Addressing the gathering, CPI(ML) Politburo member and senior leader Swadesh Bhattacharya stated that ever since the BJP government came to power in Bihar, the morale of feudal criminals has skyrocketed—a stark reality clearly evident in Bhojpur. Most recently in Badgaon (Agiaon), less than a month after the unveiling of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's statue, it was vandalized by 'Manuvadi' (casteist) forces. In Pawar, Shivlakhan Paswan was publicly murdered and his body hanged from a tree; in Nagari, Manoj Sharma and Bhola Paswan were shot; in Tarari, the local MLA is forcibly grabbing land belonging to poor Dalits; and in Badahara, Neeraj Sharma—a teacher and resident of Tulsi Chhapra—was brutally gunned down.
He further added that while the Modi government has launched an assault on workers' rights, casteist forces—emboldened by the government—are perpetrating murders, violence, and rapes against Dalits and the poor, and engaging in the oppression of laborers. In protest against these atrocities and the attacks on the dignity and equal rights of Dalits and the poor, a massive protest rally will be held in Badgaon on May 10. The meeting was attended by Central Committee member Raju Yadav; State Committee members and former MLAs Chandradeep Singh (Piro) and Shivprakash Ranjan (Agiyaon); as well as Ramesh Singh, Upendra Bharti, Sudhir Singh, Vijay Ojha, Ayodhya Singh, Indu Singh, Shabbir Kumar, Dilraj Pritam, Qiyamuddin Ansari, Raghuvar Paswan, Rajnath Ram, Jitendra Singh, Kamta Prasad Singh, Dilip Kumar, Chandan Kumar, Sangita Singh, Bhola Yadav, Kamlesh Yadav, Mahesh Prasad, Nand Ji Ram, Harendra Singh, Shivmangal Yadav, Niranjan Kesari, and Vishnu Thakur.
