ARA-----------------------------The true meaning of democracy is rule by the people, for the people, and of the people. In a vast country like India, where the Constitution has given supreme authority to its citizens, the soul of democracy rests on the awareness and morality of the people.

But today a serious question arises: Are we viewing democracy as a trap in which bait is first thrown and then caught?

The public is educated, experienced, and understands its own losses and gains. Yet, sometimes, due to short-term gains, caste equations, religious sentiments, or immediate greed, it forgets long-term interests. Some of the reasons behind this may be: Quick-gain mentality – the attraction of immediate benefits over long-term planning and policies. Emotional politics – inciting emotions to divert attention from issues. Information confusion – decisions based on incomplete or misleading information. Social pressure – Voting according to the thinking of family, society, or groups. Lack of political education – Democracy is not just the right to vote, but also the responsibility to make the right decisions.

In democracy, the public is not just the voter, but the owner. If the owner becomes confused, the system weakens. Therefore, it is essential: Awareness, Ethical judgment, Long-term thinking, Issues-based politics

Society must recognize the "trap" hidden behind any "grain." Democracy does not mean freebies, but equal opportunity, justice, and development. Only when the public is aware and wise will democracy be strengthened.

We must ask ourselves: Are we voting for future generations or for current benefits? Are we choosing individuals or ideology and policy?

Democracy is defined not by greed, but by public interest. If the public remains vigilant, no trap will succeed. This is a positive message for society— Think, understand, and then decide. You are the real power of democracy.
