BUXAR----------------------------The premises of Rising Sun International School, Dumraon, hosted a series of competitions including a Spell Bee, Speech Contest, Career Planning session, and Quiz.

The event was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by Dumraon Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Sinha, Women's Police Station SHO Pratibha Kumari, School Chairman Mahesh Thakur, Director Brahma Thakur, and Managing Director (MD) Siddharth Thakur.

Speaking on this occasion, Dumraon SHO Sanjay Kumar Sinha stated that it is not just the school; parental awareness is also extremely crucial. He remarked that in today's competitive era, every parent dreams that their child will reach the pinnacle of success in life. To achieve this, they select the best schools and pay hefty fees; however, does merely enrolling a child in a good school mark the end of a parent's responsibility?

The bitter truth is that a child is not shaped solely within the school environment; rather, they are molded through the harmonious collaboration between the home and the school. Students of the school—Pragnya, Sakshi, Riya, Tripti, Shreyansh, Omji, and Suryansh—participated enthusiastically in the program.

Teachers including Mr. Hussain, Mr. Viplo Dahal, Mr. Sushobhit, Mr. Bhujel, and Mr. Sanjay Murmu also took part in the event. At the conclusion of the program, the school's MD, Siddharth Thakur, distributed mementos to the winning and runner-up students. The program concluded with the blessings and words of wisdom from the Principal, S. Venkatashan.

Buxar Women's Police Station SHO Pratibha Kumari sensitized the female students regarding empowerment, self-reliance, and personal safety. During this initiative, information regarding various government schemes and helpline numbers was disseminated. Acting under the directives of Superintendent of Police Shubham Arya, the primary objective at Rising Sun International School was to boost the self-confidence of female students and to raise their awareness regarding their rights. In line with this effort, the "Anti-Romeo" squads from local police stations visited schools, markets, and crowded public areas to educate female students and young girls about "Good Touch and Bad Touch."

They were instructed to immediately inform the police or their family members in the event of any inappropriate physical contact or behavior.

The female police team also advised students to exercise caution while using social media. In cases involving any form of inappropriate physical contact, harassment, or exploitation against children and women, strict penalties—including the provision for capital punishment—are enforced under the POCSO Act.

The female students were further encouraged to report any such incidents to the nearest police station immediately and without fear by filing a First Information Report (FIR). They were reassured that, in such cases, the government, relevant commissions, and the police administration extend assistance to victims with absolute firmness and sensitivity. Additionally, they were apprised of toll-free helpline numbers available for immediately reporting criminal incidents.

Given the evolving standards of education, it is imperative for parents to remain vigilant and attentive regarding their children. Parents should take a keen interest in their children's education to ensure that they remain on the right path. In today's rapidly changing environment, educational standards have risen significantly; therefore, in this competitive race, discipline—along with hard work—is absolutely essential. These observations were made by Mahesh Thakur, Chairman of Rising Sun International School. He emphasized that, to achieve this, students must possess a strong foundation not only in English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge but also in Science. To this end, students should seek guidance from competent teachers at reputable institutions and strive to emulate their mentors.

It is only those students who adopt this approach who ultimately ascend the ladder of success. Mahesh Thakur further noted that the most fundamental method for strengthening one's command of English is to build a robust vocabulary; indeed, it is by combining individual words that one constructs meaningful sentences. If you are familiar with the vocabulary, you will also be able to comprehend the sentences formed from it. Those who have mastered reading and writing English will find their command of the language strengthened. Make it a daily practice to write 20 words on any topic of your choice, without worrying about whether they are right or wrong. Thakur stated that during interview preparation, a student's manner of conversation, lifestyle, demeanor, and self-confidence are closely observed. The assessment of one's knowledge is already conducted during the written examination. Therefore, if you are preparing to face an interview, strive to maintain the appropriate posture and attire at all times.
