-The Karnamepur police in Bhojpur district arrested two liquor smugglers with Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and sent them to jail. Acting on a tip-off, Karnamepur Station House Officer (SHO) Kanhaiya Kumar, accompanied by a police team, intercepted and arrested the two smugglers at Mahuar Bridge while they were transporting the liquor on a tricycle.

ARA----------------------------The Karnamepur police in Bhojpur district arrested two liquor smugglers with Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and sent them to jail. Acting on a tip-off, Karnamepur Station House Officer (SHO) Kanhaiya Kumar, accompanied by a police team, intercepted and arrested the two smugglers at Mahuar Bridge while they were transporting the liquor on a tricycle. One of the arrested individuals is a person with a disability. The police recovered 96 pouches (180 ml each) of '8 PM' brand IMFL from them. The total volume of the seized liquor is 17.28 liters. A case (Case No. 64/26, dated July 18, 2026) has been registered at the Karnamepur police station under the Excise and Prohibition Act. The police arrested and jailed both smugglers: Veer Bahadur Sahni (26), son of the late Bihari Mallah, and Hare Ram Thakur (42), son of Rampravesh Thakur. Both are reported to be residents of Devmalpur Bahudari village.
