BUXAR-------------------------In Narbatpur, within the Chausa Nagar Panchayat area, the joy of a newlywed couple turned into mourning just eight days after their wedding. The very house that, until a few days ago, resonated with the festive sounds of *shehnai* music is now abuzz with discussions regarding the bride's sudden disappearance—and allegations that she fled with jewelry and cash worth hundreds of thousands. The incident has created a sensation throughout the entire region.

According to reports, Mithilesh Kumar Yadav, a resident of Narbatpur, was married with great pomp and according to Hindu rituals on May 8th to Soni Kumari, a resident of Lachhu Tola in the Bahoranpur police station area of Bhojpur district. Following the wedding, the bride's arrival at her new home created an atmosphere of joy within the family; however, no one had any inkling that this happiness would prove to be short-lived. In a written complaint filed at the Mufassil police station, the aggrieved husband, Mithilesh Kumar Yadav, stated that on the night of May 17th, all family members had gone to sleep after dinner. Due to the intense heat, he chose to sleep on the rooftop. When family members woke up the following morning, the newlywed bride was missing from her room. Initially, the family searched the immediate vicinity, but when no clues emerged after a considerable time, they conducted a thorough search of the house. During this search, it was discovered that gold jewelry worth approximately ₹2.5 lakh and cash amounting to about ₹45,000, which had been kept in the house, were also missing.

The family members allege that, even prior to the wedding, the bride had been in constant communication via mobile phone with a certain young man. It is suspected that this very individual has eloped with her. The family is in shock following the incident, while various rumors are circulating within the village. Based on a formal complaint, the Mufassil Police Station has registered a case and initiated an investigation. The police are actively searching for the newlywed woman and her alleged lover, relying on mobile call details and other technical evidence.
