PATNA--------------------------Bihar's Education Minister, Mithilesh Tiwari, attended a felicitation ceremony for physical education teachers held today at the IMA Hall in the capital, Patna.

Minister Mithilesh Tiwari made a significant statement regarding the education system. He noted that while the Education Department in Bihar was previously run by officials, the situation has changed, and the Minister will now personally oversee the department's operations. This statement makes it clear that the role of political leadership in education-related decisions will increase, while bureaucratic interference will diminish. During the event, physical education teachers honored the Minister in a traditional manner and presented their various demands to him. After listening to the teachers' concerns, Mithilesh Tiwari assured them that the government is fully sensitive to their interests and that their demands would be seriously considered. He remarked that the "Chanakya-Chandragupta" duo is now working together in Bihar—alluding to the synergy between the Chief Minister and himself. The Minister expressed confidence that under this leadership, the state's education system would gain a new direction and meet public expectations. He further stated that all promises made to the public would be fulfilled without fail and that no section of society would be neglected. Promoting physical education is a government priority, based on the principle that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Consequently, the role of physical education teachers will be strengthened to ensure sports and physical activities receive their due importance in schools. The Minister's statement generated enthusiasm among the teachers, who are hopeful that their long-pending demands will soon be met. Overall, the Minister's address signals a shift towards change and transparency in the Education Department—developments likely to benefit Bihar's education system—while the teaching community appears ready to align itself with the government's policies.
