FIR AGAINST SPOKESPERSON DANISH RIZWAN IN CELEBRATORY FIRING CASE

ARA--------------------------An FIR has been registered at the Arrah Town Police Station, under the jurisdiction of Bhojpur district, against Danish Rizwan—a spokesperson for the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM)—in connection with a viral video depicting 'celebratory firing.' Taking serious cognizance of this incident, the police have initiated a comprehensive investigation. This legal action was triggered after a video of Danish Rizwan circulated rapidly across various social media platforms, in which he was allegedly seen firing shots into the air.

According to an official statement issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Bhojpur, instructions were issued to register an FIR at the concerned police station level and to investigate the matter, taking cognizance of the video going viral on social media. However, prior to the registration of the FIR, Arrah's Sadar SDPO, Rajkumar Sah, had indicated during a media interaction that preliminary investigations suggested the video appeared to date back to a wedding ceremony held in 2017. The police are currently conducting a technical examination to verify the authenticity of the video and determine its actual timeline.

Reacting to this entire episode, HAM leader Danish Rizwan has categorically denied the allegations. Labeling the video as "AI-generated" (created using artificial intelligence), he argued that the rate of fire depicted in the video—showing four to five rounds being fired within half a second—is practically impossible. Rizwan claims that legal action regarding this old matter had already been taken against him back in 2017. At that time, his arms license was revoked; however, a court subsequently reinstated it after deeming the case to be flawed.

Danish Rizwan has alleged that a political conspiracy lies behind this controversy. Directly targeting the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, he asserted that this video was circulated with the specific intent of tarnishing his image. He has announced that he intends to file a defamation lawsuit against the RJD leadership in response to this alleged smear campaign. Notably, the roots of this controversy deepened when the video in question was shared via the RJD's official social media handle. Using the video as a medium to attack the state's NDA government, the RJD alleged that individuals associated with the ruling party—specifically an advisor to a Union Minister—are openly flouting the rules. Citing this incident, the opposition has raised serious questions regarding the state of law and order in Bihar. Meanwhile, the police are currently analyzing all technical aspects and legal evidence pertaining to this high-profile case.
