ARA-------------------------The police have registered two separate FIRs at the Bihia police station regarding the murder of Rajesh Yadav in Tipura village, located within the Bihia police station limits of Bhojpur district. The first FIR concerns the murder itself, while the second has been registered under the Arms Act following the recovery of illegal weapons during a raid on the residence of the prime accused, Yogendra Yadav.
According to available information, the first FIR was registered based on the statement of Bihia Station House Officer (SHO) Sudeshwar Das, naming Yogendra Yadav—a resident of Tipura village—as an accused under the Arms Act. Meanwhile, the second FIR regarding the murder was registered based on the statement of the deceased's uncle. This FIR names a total of eight individuals, including Sachin Gupta (Chief Councilor of Bihia Nagar Panchayat) and Yogendra Yadav. Police records indicate that the prime accused, Yogendra Yadav, has previously been charge-sheeted in other cases.
In this sensational incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Tipura village, criminals targeted Rajesh Yadav. Rajesh was returning home to Rupbandh from Kateya village (within the Bihia police station area) when assailants surrounded him. Preliminary investigations and the post-mortem report reveal that Rajesh was shot four times, with bullets striking his head and other parts of his body.
Initial police investigations suggest that an old enmity and a struggle for dominance are the primary motives behind the murder. The deceased, Rajesh Yadav, had been released on bail from jail only about two and a half to three months prior to the incident. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants first stopped Rajesh's motorcycle and assaulted him. When Rajesh attempted to flee to save his life, the criminals chased him down and fired a barrage of bullets at him, resulting in his death on the spot.
Immediately following the incident, a police team swung into action and conducted a raid on the residence of the prime accused, Yogendra Yadav. Although the accused managed to flee before the police arrived, a country-made pistol and a pistol magazine were recovered during the raid. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into both the conspiracy to commit murder and the recovery of the weapons. Police teams are continuously raiding suspected hideouts to apprehend the named accused.
