EOU ARRESTED 29^TH ACCUSED IN THE BPSC PAPER LEAK CASE

PATNA--------------------------Sanjeev Mukhiya—dubbed the "Paper Leak King" for competitive examinations across the country—heads a syndicate with an extensive list of members. As the investigation into the BPSC paper leak progresses, more and more faces are being unmasked and brought into the custody of the Economic Offences Unit (EOU). Last Sunday, the EOU arrested Praveen Kumar Sinha—alias "W. Mukhiya"—from Karbigahiya in Patna; he is the 294th individual to be arrested in connection with Sanjeev Mukhiya's syndicate.

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) had registered Case No. 06/2024 in connection with the BPSC TRE-3 examination paper leak case. In this matter, the EOU has so far arrested and filed charge sheets against 293 individuals. During the course of the investigation, the EOU gathered evidence indicating that Praveen Kumar Sinha—alias "W. Mukhiya"—a resident of Konipar village under the Manikpur police station area in Lakhisarai (and son of Arun Kumar), was involved in the paper leak. Furthermore, the investigation revealed that Praveen Kumar Sinha (W. Mukhiya) had, at the behest of Sanjeev Mukhiya, made all the necessary arrangements at the Kohinoor Hotel in Hazaribagh—the location where accommodation was provided for the candidates, and where 30 aspirants were scheduled to memorize the answers to the leaked paper following the leak itself. Praveen (W. Mukhiya) fled the scene immediately after the police conducted a raid on the Kohinoor Hotel. The EOU had been working for a long time to arrest Sanjeev Mukhiya's close confidant, Praveen Kumar Sinha—alias "W Mukhiya." Whenever a raid was conducted, he would manage to evade capture and escape. Acting on this lead, the EOU received intelligence that Praveen Kumar Sinha (W Mukhiya) was traveling to Patna. Consequently, the EOU arrested Praveen Kumar Sinha (W Mukhiya) at Karbigahiya in Patna. During his interrogation by the EOU, W Mukhiya revealed that he has been associated with Sanjeev Mukhiya for the past 10 years and has assisted him in leaking examination papers. He provided significant information regarding Sanjeev Mukhiya's syndicate, which operates across the entire country; based on this information, further investigations are currently underway.
